    Title: Nobody's Dog
    By (author): Eleanor Watkins
    ISBN10-13: 1912457423 : 9781912457427
This book is about a six-year-old black boy who sees a dog alone in the park and ends up adopting it. His mum is a single mum. During the story they move from an apartment to a house, enabling them to adopt the dog, with the help of a Polish neighbour. This is a heart warming story with a happy ending, about friendship, answers to prayers and trust. Theres that dog again, said Luke. Lots of dogs were being walked, because it was Sunday afternoon. Some were on leads and some were off, chasing balls or sticks or just running. But this dog was all on its own. Luke cannot forget the lonely dog with its hungry brown eyes. It seems to be nobodys dog, so Luke and his friend Mr Bronzovi decide to look after it. But its not as easy as Luke thinks.

    Title: Oliver's Secret
By (author): Eleanor Watkins Illustrated by: Josh Williams
    ISBN10-13: 1912457431 : 9781912457434
The day Clare moved into her new house, the cat flap swung open and a big, black and white cat came walking through. The cat looked at Clare, and Clare looked at the cat. The cat seemed rather surprised to see her. It stood with one front paw lifted, and its tail curled like a question mark. It had fluffy fur, a tail like a feather duster, and white whiskers. It was very large, and Clare thought it was the most beautiful cat she had ever seen. The amazing thing was, she had just prayed for a cat! But surely it must belong to someone else?
    Reviews:
“I absolutely love this book! I couldn't help but smile all the way through.” - Briony
“Oliver's Secret is a good book because it's a story all about a cat. It's also good because it's a mystery that you have to figure out. It's the right amount of drama and suspense at the right time. I would recommend it to all of my friends.” - Cerys

    Reviews:
"What a brilliant read! I think it's a fantastic historical novel, especially for anyone who has studied the Romans or has an interest in British history and is just starting their journey as a Christian. The drama throughout the book meant it was a real page turner and the way in which the characters were introduced and developed meant it was easy to visualise them and picture their experiences throughout the story. I can very much see it being used as a class novel in church schools and there really aren't many 'mainstream' class texts that talk about religion so this will definitely be a positive addition, especially with the historical overlap. However, I can see it really coming into its own as a recommended text for those individuals in juniors who have started to explore Christianity in more depth, especially the idea of prayer. It's definitely one I will be recommending!" -- Louise Quayle (Junior School Teacher)
"I think The Dove Stone is inspiring because it shows that even thousands of years ago, God was listening. I found it fascinating learning about how Christianity came to Britain and I would love there to be a sequel! I really liked the characters because I could imagine being friends with them (although maybe not Torsa!) and I couldn't wait to find out what happened next in their adventure." -- Ellen
"I love how the historical and religious ideas are combined into a fast-paced adventure story." -- Jacob
