precious little has been done for the fledgling Greek student who wants to read the History but needs help with forms, syntax, and the peculiarities of Thucydides style. Nagy has changed the whole landscape. His Reader offers selections from every book, aimed at students who still need reminders about genitive absolutes and supplementary participles. His book has no rival, because we readers of Thucydides have had to wait so long for someone to do the job.
