Dr. Jan Spivey Gilchrist is an award-winning author, illustrator, and speaker with more than 80 books created throughout her career. She obtained her PhD in English along with graduate and undergraduate studies in writing, art, and education. She is a member of the Society of Childrenâ s Book Writers and Illustrators. Jan Spivey Gilchrist is passionate about combining the imagery and lessons from her past into works of art that all children can enjoy.
