Jahrhunderts entwickelt sich, parallel zur Standardisierung der Sprache, eine Kultur nonverbaler Kommunikationspraktiken, welche sich auf Grundlage eines breiten Korpus untersuchen lassen. Die Autorin beschreibt und vergleicht dabei Detektionsverfahren emotionaler Körperregungen sowie kodifizierte Umgangsformen und Simulationsmechanismen. Neben einschlägigen Werken des französischen Literaturkanons wie "La Princesse de Clèves" von Madame de Lafayette und "Britannicus" von Jean Racine dienen ebenfalls Porträtsammlungen, Memoiren sowie medizin-philosophische Abhandlungen und kunsttheoretische Vorlesungen als Grundlage fÃ"r die vorliegende Studie. Alongside the standardization of the French language, the 17th century in France experienced a cultivation of non-verbal communication practices which can be explored on the grounds of a wide-ranging corpus. The author describes and compares codified manners and simulation methods as well as detection methods of emotional body movements. Along with relevant pieces of the French literary canon, such as â La Princesse de Clèvesâ by Madame de Lafayette and the â Britannicusâ by Jean Racine, portrait collections, memoirs as well as medical-philosophical treatises and art theory lectures form the textual basis for this study. |
