    Title: BeleÌ n, MariÌ a BeleÌ n
    ISBN13: 9791281396043
Belén, María Belén is a photobook that, through archival photographs, documents and autobiographical texts, narrates the life of María Belén Correa, a leading activist for transgender rights in Argentina and Latin America. Her personal story reflects the history of the LGBTQIA+ community in Latin America and the struggles it faced in the 1980s and 1990s. Her journey is one of collective struggle for the recognition of trans identities and expressions. Throughout her life, she founded organizations and community groups, achieving laws, improving the quality of life, and creating support networks against the transphobic contexts that persist to this day. In 2012, María Belén founded the Trans Memory Archive to collect and preserve the life stories of the Argentine trans community, becoming a key reference and collective memory of trans identities. Belén, María Belén is the winner of the 2025 Andy Rocchelli Grant, an international award promoted by CESURA in memory of its cofounder Andy Rocchelli, killed in a mortar attack in Andreevka, Ukraine, in 2014. This book is a co-edition between Cesura and the Archivo de la Memoria Trans Argentina, recognizing its political and historical value, so that Belénâ s story can also be accessible in Argentina. All copies are hand-bound; therefore, inserts may vary.

    Title: Texas Trigger
    ISBN13: 9791281396012
In May 2024, Luca Santese and Marco P. Valli embarked on a journey across Texas at the height of the U.S. presidential election campaign. Over a little more than a month, they drove approximately 5,000 milesâ documenting a wide range of environments across the state: cities, suburbs, rural and industrial areas, and the borderlands. Today, Texas stands as one of the key vantage points from which to observe and understand some crucial dynamics shaping contemporary American society: immigration policy, the proliferation of firearms, political and cultural tensions, and the ongoing clash between conservative ideals and progressive movements. The book is divided into chapters that follow the chronology of events and encounters from the trip. However, there is no index to separate them schematicallyâ instead, the work unfolds as a continuous photographic sequence, where each part flows into the next through a visual trigger: a threshold that signals the passage from one chapter to another. Besides referring to the mechanism of a firearm or the device that activates the authorsâ camera flashes, the trigger is also meant as an activator that disorients and provokes an emotional response.
