This book is in my view a unique way to approach the topic of awakening / enlightenment. Instead of just writing about the subject itself and the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, John David talks with many prominent teachers in the spiritual scene. You can quickly identify a common thread. Although each has their own approach, it is nevertheless clear that they are all grounded in the basics of awakening, saying the same thing. It is also ideal for all doubters and dreamers: 14 times you get questions answered that has often been asked, but only a few can answer. And 14 times, you can see that the foundation of a happy life is always the same (so perhaps it could be true :)). The most beautiful I find is the everyday description of the Masters - that they are in fact very normal and down to earth. Absolute reading recommendation - few books have answered so many questions, doubts taken away and much encouragement given. - Atma
